TYCK Model Code Decoder & Verification Guide

A model code can encode range, connection, material, output, housing or approval options, but segment meaning is family- and revision-specific. This page does not provide a universal decoder or infer an option from a similar code. A reliable interpretation uses the complete code, applicable coding table, quotation, order confirmation and nameplate, while preserving any unknown token for written verification.

PUBLIC STATUS

Public status: family-specific verification required

No cross-family coding table or automatic interpretation is asserted. Only tokens supported by the applicable model-family document should be decoded; unresolved segments remain explicitly unknown.

PRACTICAL PROCESS

How to use this information

  1. Capture the complete identity

Copy the model or order code exactly, including prefixes, separators, suffixes and revision marks. Add the product family, nameplate photograph, serial number and quotation or order reference where available; a partial code can change the interpretation.

  2. Decode against one controlled table

Identify the applicable family and document revision, then map each token only where that table defines it. Record the source and leave unsupported, obsolete or customer-specific segments unresolved rather than borrowing a meaning from another family.

  3. Verify against the supplied configuration

Compare the decoded attributes with the approved datasheet, order confirmation, nameplate and physical or electrical documentation. Resolve conflicts in writing before selection, replacement, wiring or process use because the code alone does not establish suitability.

EVIDENCE CHECKLIST

Fields to verify before relying on a record

Complete code
Exact characters, separators, prefixes, suffixes and revision identifiers.
Product family
Family or platform needed to select the correct coding table.
Source record
Quotation, order confirmation, approved datasheet or historical document and revision.
Nameplate evidence
Readable image and serial or batch information where available.
Decoded tokens
Token-by-token meaning with its source rather than a rewritten marketing name.
Unknown or conflicting tokens
Explicit unresolved list requiring written technical confirmation.
Intended decision
Selection, spare, replacement, wiring, documentation or installed-base identification.

DOCUMENT CONTROL

Which document takes priority?

  1. Executed contract and signed technical agreement: Controls the agreed scope, exceptions and acceptance terms for the transaction.
  2. Approved order confirmation and configuration datasheet: Controls the ordered model, SKU, options, quantity and order-specific deliverables.
  3. Current model/SKU drawing, manual, certificate or test record: Supports the applicable technical value or evidence claim when its identity, revision and scope match.
  4. Public webpage or sales summary: Supports discovery only and does not override an approved configuration or order document.

Important limitations

  • The same letters or digits can have different meanings in another model family or document revision.
  • A decoded code does not prove material compatibility, performance, approval, interchangeability or safe installation for an application.

CONFIGURATION-SPECIFIC SUPPORT

Request the record that applies to your order

Send the model, SKU, process conditions, order reference and the evidence or document you need. TYCK can then confirm what is available for that specific configuration without asking you to rely on a general website statement.

EVIDENCE FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can one decoder interpret every TYCK model code?

No. Model structures can differ by product family, generation, document revision and customer-specific arrangement. Start with the full code and identify the applicable family and coding-table revision. Decode only the segments defined by that source and mark the rest as unknown. A token meaning found in a pressure product should not be transferred to a level, temperature or flow product without explicit documentation, even when the characters look identical.

What should be supplied when an old or discontinued code is unclear?

Provide a readable nameplate photograph, complete code, serial or batch information, approximate supply date, old quotation or order reference and any drawing or manual retained with the equipment. State whether the task is documentation, maintenance or replacement. Historical interpretation may depend on the document revision used at the time of supply. Keep unresolved tokens visible and request written confirmation rather than silently converting them to current options.

Does decoding a model code confirm that a replacement is suitable?

No. Decoding can identify recorded attributes, but replacement selection also requires the medium, range, process pressure and temperature, connection, wetted materials, power, output, mounting, area classification and applicable documents. Compare the installed configuration and current duty with the proposed product and obtain an approved selection record. Mechanical fit or a similar option string does not establish measurement performance, certification coverage or safe interchangeability.
